Intermediates - Level 4

The level known as Intermediates is also called "Stroke Development."  In this level the swimmers develop the strokes that they learned in Stroke Readiness, Level 3. 
Swimmers will increase their indurance and build upon the strokes previously introduced to them.
Swimmers entering this course must have a Level 3 certificate.
 
We will begin testing today, August 16th.  The swimmers will receive a Red Cross certification card if they can complete the following tasks:
 
treading water for 3 minutes
demonstrate front crawl in deep water, showing knowledge of the elements of the stroke.
demonstrate breast stroke in deep water, showing knowledge of the elements of the stroke.
demonstrate elementary back stroke in deep water, showing knowledge of the elements of the stroke.
deomonstrate back crawl in deep water, showing knowledge of the elements of the stroke.
swim underwater for 15 feet.
